Summer To-Do List

Hi! Remember me?
I used to do crafty stuff.
Sometimes I still do.

Here’s my latest crafty project. I needed something quick and simple to ease my way back into the craft world. So, when I saw a very simple and very cute idea on another craft site, I jumped right on that bandwagon and made it right up.

Materials:
- 11.75” x 36” frame (mine actually ended up being 12 x 36)
- fun scrap paper
- sharpie

It’s so simple, I could do it!

First, make your header. I took a 6” x 12” sheet of paper. The original instructions said 8”, but that looked huge to me! I loved this paper because it had a little bit of notebook paper feel to it, which was a little reminiscent of school, but the flowers reminded me of summer. Then, I took my American Crafts Thickers in summery colors and added my header. I just decided to put the title, and later added the '2010'

Next, I pulled out the long paper from the frame. This wasn't on the original instructions, but it works for me. I used the long paper as the base on which to adhere the header and strips. I put the header on the paper, and began to cut my strips.

I found bunches of papers that I liked, and cut them into 1.5" strips. It doesn't matter that they didn't all go together perfectly. As soon as I got them all cut, I did go through and put them in a different order to see which ones went better together a bit.
Then, I just adhered them to the long sheet of paper.

Replace the glass (or in my case, plastic-glass-ish material).

Finally, write your to-do list on the plastic-ish-glass-ness with the sharpie marker.

Then, hang on the wall and start marking off the list!
