Little of this and that

I'm itching to be creative again soon.

Of course, it helps that I went to a mall that had a place called "Paper Source" and I might have wanted to die there. Oh the joys of it that I cannot express.

I wanted to share a few pictures to show you what's on my creative plate lately.

Some notebooks I got at the Paper Source. Don't know if I'm going to embellish them, or what exactly I'm going to do with them.

Now, for my new obsession as of late. About two Falls ago, I got some kraft paper book covers from Target on super-clearance after school had already started. Then, this fall, due to a miscommunication with my team regarding  composition books, I ended up with 25 extra composition books, but was only out a quarter a piece. And since I use them for everything, it's not a big deal.

My new obsession combines the two. I needed a new notebook for this year's YoungLife meetings and such, so I covered one with kraft paper and then embellished at will. ( I still don't think I'm done yet). Since I had the composition books laying around, and the kraft paper laying around, I decided to go ahead and cover them to serve as a blank canvas for the next time I needed them. Can't wait to see what I will be able to do with them.

Of course, I had to work on one, just because I had the stuff out and the inspiration had already hit. Just don't know to whom I should give this.

I saved the left-over rolls from the kraft paper composition books, because I have something in mind for them.

And then. Then.

I got out my Christmas playthings. I decided (rather spur-of-the-moment) today that I would do another December Daily album. I've started two, and completed exactly none. I'm hoping this year will be different, because my work is so much more relaxed and I'm in a better place than I was last year at this time.

I've decided to do an 8 x 8 album, and found the one I wanted to use at the Hob Lob. It's got a couple of interesting features that will open me up to some creative ideas and features. We'll see how it goes.

And finally, this.

I've got an idea for this stuff.

It could be a cute, fabulous idea.

It could also go up in creative flames.

We'll see what happens for the next few days.

  1. FYI -

    1. I will be ripping off your idea of covering composition notebooks in kraft paper.

    2. I am so happy you will be doing a December Daily. It helps me feel not quite so insane to know an IRL person doing one too.

    3. Creative flames are so warm and comforting. Do not fear them. :)
